One of the world’s least explored destinations, Myanmar is a breathtaking country that has been left untouched by visitors for a generation. Over eight enthralling days, you’ll have plenty of time to uncover the splendour and diversity of mystical Myanmar for yourself.

Upon arrival in the former capital of Yangon, also known as Rangoon, you’ll have a full day and night to explore all that this extraordinary city has to offer, including the legendary Shwedagon Pagoda, the country’s most important religious site. After a restful night’s sleep in your specially selected four-star hotel, you’ll take the flight to Bagan, known to be one of the greatest architectural sites in Asia. Over two terrific days you’ll discover Bagan’s astounding temple-filled plain, enjoy an exciting visit to the bustling Nyaung-U market, and take an excursion by horse cart that passes the incredible Sulamani Temple, the gigantic Dhammayangyi Temple and Thatbyinnyu, the tallest temple in Bagan. During your stay, you’ll also take a relaxing cruise down the Irrawaddy River on a private wooden river boat. Soak up the stunning views as you come to the end of a busy couple of days sightseeing in Bagan!

Day four of your tour sees you fly to Heho in the heart of the Shan State. Spending two nights on the serene shores of Inle Lake, one of Myanmar’s most spectacular and breathtaking sights, you’ll take a private motorboat ride, visit Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery, shop for local handicrafts at the lake’s morning market, and head down the small canal to the Pa-Oh village of Indein. The final stage of your adventure takes you to Mandalay, Myanmar’s second largest city and one of the ancient royal capitals. As part of your time here, you’ll take a trip to Amarapura – the ‘City of Immortality’, and see sights including the incredible golden Buddha of Mahamuni Pagoda, the Shwenandaw Monastery and Sagaing, the Buddhist centre of Myanmar. As the sun sets on the final day of your tour, head to the Shwe Kyin Monastery, it’s the perfect place to finish a day of sightseeing in marvellous Mandalay. Travelling in style and comfort, this unique tour delivers a truly memorable adventure through this once-forgotten nation.
